At 17, Christopher Cheung left his homeland of Hong Kong on an adventure to the US. He attended Berkeley High School and worked in restaurants ever since. Under Chez Panisse Chef-Alum Mark Miller, Chris honed his culinary abilities and with his wife Nedda Cheung opened award winning Christopher’s Cafe on Solano in 1984.
Thirty years later at Marica Restaurant the Cheung family is serving up great food, at good fair prices at this hip small restaurant.
